Tongues and Interpretation
“Grace. Great grace. From your mouth, I will pour forth grace. You are a vessel of grace. You are a gracious vessel. I will speak grace through your mouth. I will utter grace through you. For you are a gracious vessel. My grace is upon you. Speak from the order of grace, from the platform of grace.”
“A vessel of blessing. Transactions within your soul this week are a preparation for this meeting. I have prepared you. I am behind you for to bring blessing. Do not be afraid. Rest in my grace. Through your mouth, I will bring blessing. Rest in my grace…”

God is bringing us to a place of sacrifice and He has been bringing redefinitions around the word sacrifice. Sacrifice is an unending thing in God's program and by reason of dealings we've been exposed to, we believe we have come to that point of being sacrificial but there is a lot more the Lord has for us to take flesh from us. God has listed a long list of sacrifices and offerings in the Old Testament that are a pattern for us to learn the uniqueness of these experiences that He takes us through.
Every leading of the spirit we respond to leaves a mode or formation in the soul till we become a being of sacrifice.
Leviticus 2:1-9
"And when any will offer a meat offering unto the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon: [2] And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord : [3] And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the Lord made by fire. [4] And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baken in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. [5] And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. [6] Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering. [7] And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in the fryingpan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. [8] And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the Lord: and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar. [9] And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord."
Jesus was not only the lamb of God; He also became a sin offering for us. He fulfilled all the sacrifices that God ordained for Him. In the Old Testament, there is a meat offering that is called the oblation which God requires that the people should bring to his priests; and the flour is obtained by beating the grains (Lev. 2:1-9). The process of beating fine flour out of grains is a process that our souls should go through.
Israel was cultured to know how to offer to God. Thus, they were without excuse regarding offerings. The Holy Spirit has been given as a down payment for bringing down God’s essence. We must not take this giving of the Holy Spirit for granted so that we may altogether offer to God. Thus, we must not handle it nonchalantly. The Holy Spirit is going to train us to offer unto the Lord.
When the order of worship, including the temple and utensils of worship, was destroyed, a man called Daniel continued in worship to God in a constant evening oblation. He built up a capacity to keep the oblation (Dan. 9:21). He had understood and practised connecting to God’s presence so that he can track and remain consistent with the seasons of God that is upon him. Even in the midst, when it looked like there was no reference point and Jerusalem was in ruins, Daniel was a man who worshipped; and by that attitude he built a consistent nature of prayer. Daniel was not distracted with the happenings around him but took a posture of prayer. A similar situation is happening around us and we should take the posture he took in the evening oblation.
We can observe the movements of God and His present provision of pasture, and conclude that we are in an evening time; when God wants to bring His dealing with us to closure. Daniel had a heart that could connect this kind of provision. If we take responsibility in our obedience and walk with God, we do not know what God will work out of our specific obediences.
The dealings of God with us are much beyond us; much more beyond the specific responses that we give to God. Thus, when we respond to God, He shows up in a manner that is beyond our actions. The touch of the angel to Daniel was a specific touch/identification. For Daniel, the angel brought forth understanding about times that were much more ahead of him that he knew nothing about (Dan 9:22). When God touches us amidst various natural challenges that encompass us, He does so to give us skill and understanding to give Himself to us. The understanding He gives is a means by which He works in us, by taking us beyond our challenges and experiences to a place where we see His love at a degree; and be led to Himself such that when we have this understanding, it cannot be taken away from us. This is a place of the covenant where God would always appear to us.
There was a time God could consider the jewels of gold as an offering (Numbers 31:50). God could accept this because it was an offering that came from their souls; these jewels were attached to their hearts in some way. In the same way, when God comes for things that pertain to our natural, God wants to detach us from them by causing us to offer them unto Him.
The reason why God wants to give us skill and understanding is because there is a pleasure He desires from us in ways that are specific to each of us. We must begin to learn how to accurately respond to God. This is beyond just hearing a lot of thundering and words but that which God wants to derive from each of us specifically. What the Lord is doing in this season is beyond just starting something new and in vogue; but this is the season of the evening oblation where God wants to offer, where God wants to give us His own understanding. God wants to give us eternal life and the only pathway to receiving this life is through understanding.
