1. (Isa. 40:9) “O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!” This is how flesh will be given capacity to see the glory of God. There is a mechanism through which the glory of God shall be revealed. For the glory of God to come to the earth, it has to be revealed. The reason why we need to be preached to is that something is at stake and without it, flesh will remain the same. The city of stones is the answer to flesh. Zion is the city of stones and outside it, all flesh is grass.
2. (Isa. 40:6) The glory of grass is the flower (1 Pet. 1:24). There was an intent in everything that was created; they all have a duty to prove a point and produce. All things God created were blessed to be fruitful and multiply (Gen. 1:28). There is an innate law in all things that gives them the potential to generate their kind. If anything is not fruitful, it has existed without fulfillment. If that innate responsibility is not fulfilled, then it means the essence of being created has not been achieved.
3. (Heb. 4:16) To come to the throne of grace is to find a way. Mercy is the way because all the paths of the law are mercy and truth (Psa. 25:9). (Rev. 19:10) One must keep His testaments until they become a covenant. The testimony of Jesus is a spirit in itself that has not been inherited and it communicates to a man so he can inherit a way. To inherit a way, one must first agree to the way. This is why a man cannot have a covenant except through the spirit. For the way of death to be removed from our souls, one must learn the manner of the new way.
4. Things can be stored as spirit and that is where God can be stored finally. Finding God is finding those conversations that God has done. To touch God is to touch His way. The knowledge of peace may not be a way but only a renewing of the mind to prove and hold peace. Peace itself is a way that can be known (Rom. 3:17). Way is a second degree of knowing that allows us to experience a reality that is in the spirit.
5. The things we do are a result of ways in us. One of the things ministers are to feed the flock is ways. A true shepherd is meant to hold the rod and the staff, otherwise the flock will not be comforted (Psa. 23:4). A person with shepherdic strength knows how to comfort the flock. To do this is to rescue the flock from fear. Satan has succeeded in planting the way of fear in our souls, but a time will come when the flock will fear not (Jer. 23:4).
6. Haste knows how to speak to us; it can make us aware of our natural ages. Flesh has expectations for what it ought to have achieved. If we make haste, we will not be innocent. We should be patient and allow God, otherwise, we will bear fruits that are not of God. Satan waits for us in our innate character, not in our preaching or anointing. Satan came to tempt Abraham shortly after he had overcome five kings (Gen. 14:1-17). God allowed Lot to be captured so that those kings could be overcome. Satan was furious about the damage that Abraham had inflicted on his investments. Thus, he wanted to shift Abraham out of alignment and entice him to let go of his place in the spirit.
7. We often do not know what we are holding and for whom we are holding it. There is a lot for every one of us in the spirit. Our temptations lie in our innate character. God needs to help us for our core to be healed. We should get to a place wherein the prince of this world comes and finds nothing in us (John 14:30). We should get to a point where we desire truth in our inward parts (Psa. 51:6).
8. (Isa. 40:7). Grass is able to behave its best by flowering. The great expectation of a grass is birth. There is a travail in everything that God created. The temptation of Satan to the angels that fell was the innate desire to do more. By so doing, he lied to them and made them fall as a result. Satan has now made men to become grass. When God said that man should be fruitful and multiply (Gen. 1:28), He was not speaking about natural birth alone but a law of generating one’s innate capacity, which is a continuation of one’s self.
9. God wants to raise men like John the Baptist who have prepared the way. There are homes of spirits in men’s hearts because of ways. The place that spirits have in us is a result of their ways in us. This is not a possession of a man by a spirit but a manner of life taught to a man by evil spirits. Evil spirits feed from our disobedience and make our hearts their homes as a result.
10. (Isa. 40:3-4). To prepare ways is to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord (Luke 1:17). John the Baptist was not raised to prepare a physical way in the streets of Jerusalem but in the hearts of a people. The sign that God is coming is that He is preparing us. Shortly after John began to prepare people, the Lord appeared by His side. The Lord is around and is nearer than we think. He is hanging around until the way is prepared. None of us must be lacking when the Lord shall come.
11. What will bring the Lord is His way in people. The people of the Lord are those who take down their mountains, bring up their valleys and redesign their crooked ways. It is afterward that the Lord will come to His people. There was a measure of coming and a measure of preparation at the Lord’s first coming, but the standards of His coming again is higher. Jesus wants to raise Zion because the way of the Lord will be revealed out of them. It is men that will bear the fruit of salvation.
12. (Rom. 8:18). The glory that would be revealed is what will redeem the outward man. This glory is from within us. Once the fruit comes forth, creature would see the glory of God, then salvation would be revealed in us (Rom. 8:20-21). Fruit bearing is the conglomeration of ways. A fruit is made up of many things. It is the marriage of spirits and interweaving of ways that are knit together.
