“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1). Jesus was Logos or the Word. In the minds of men, the prevalent idea of “word” is something written or spoken. However, the true understanding of “word” in eternity has a peculiar meaning which goes far beyond what one can speak or write. This Being called the “Word” was God. The name “Word” has no beginning or ending; He is timeless. Timelessness is not comprehensible to the natural mind but it is comprehensible in the world of eternity. Time is a creation. However, there is an uncreated realm where timing does not exist as we know time in our realm.
The mind of the natural man is limited because he was made below eternity; and even angels were made the same. However, there is a consciousness of eternity that was put in the mind of angels. As such, they are timeless in a measure. This shows that Satan (a perverted angel) whom we are dealing with is a timeless being. A man needs to come into an everlasting state to deal with him. A mind that has been blessed with everlasting life will not be ordinary; it will become an everlasting mind.
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” (Heb. 10:22). In the New Testament, to wash the body with pure water has to do with the washing of the mind. When you work on the mind, you clean the body. The renewal of the mind is for the cleansing of the body or the outward man. The mind links to the brain and is more physical for the sake of the body. The "mind" is a part of the soul that interacts with the body for the man to take actions. There is also the "heart" of the soul that is more spiritual than the mind. This is why the things of the spirit first move from the spirit of a man to the heart, and then to the mind. The Holy Ghost does not reveal things to the mind, but to the heart and the human spirit. This is because the natural mind cannot comprehend spiritual things.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12). It can only take the word of God to see the "soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow". The word of God can see through joints no matter how tightly closed they are. The word of God can separate the bone and marrow; it can deal with the outward man and discern the soul. It is possible to see the soul and not see thoughts; it is also possible to see thoughts and not see the intents of the heart.
Thoughts are found in the mind. The word of God is a discerner of the mind and heart, where thoughts and intents are found respectively. Intents are not found in the mind but only in the heart. On the other hand, only thoughts exist in the mind. The mind is very important because if thoughts crystallize and develop, they can become strongholds and a manner of life. When a thought has become a manner of life, it has become a doctrine.
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Rom. 8:6). A thought is only manifested in the body when it is captured and believed by the mind. Those who operate through their minds alone without being instructed by the Spirit become sensual. There is a mind that is life and there is a mind that is peace. These two kinds of minds are doctrines that make up the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is the kind of mind that is subject to the law of God (Rom. 8:7). Anyone whose mind cannot be taken over by life and peace can never be subject to the law of God. God will not instruct a man who does not have the mind of Christ. Life and peace are the strongholds of a spiritual man.
The breastplate of the high priest is nine inches; and this is a span. A span is the distance from one point of the breastplate to another; which also speaks of Everlasting Life. This breastplate is the breastplate of judgement and this is where both the Urim and Thummim are located. Both are needed to attain Eternal Life. If one has only Urim, such a person will still be operating at a level of Everlasting Life. The fulness of the Father is the end of judgement.
The end of Everlasting Life is an absolute light; it is complete but lower than Eternal Life. The fulness of Everlasting Life is a night of Eternal Life. Night refers to the end of the day. The colour of Urim is white while that of Thummim is dark. This means Urim is the beginning light of Everlasting Life while Thummim is the ending light. Therefore, Everlasting Life has a beginning and also an end.
“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (1 Cor. 2:10). “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor. 2:14). To keep something in the deep is to keep it in the dark. You cannot understand the judgement of Thummim without understanding the judgement of Urim; this is because Thummim is darker than Urim. When something is dark, it means that there is no way to understand it; it is past finding out and complicated to understand. Thummim deals with deep things or night things.
The night season is when Everlasting Life is ending. Everlasting life has its peak in the spirit and that peak is the fulness of the Father. The Father’s abode is in the thick darkness (Exo. 20:21). The fulness of the Father is the final realm of the Father. To decipher this realm, we need the Urim and Thummim. The fulness of the Father is a realm which is incomprehensible. This is why the deep things of God are foolishness to the natural man (1 Cor. 2:14). He cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned; worldly intelligence cannot comprehend it.
The Spirit of God oversees the things of God and the Father wants us to receive them. We ought to love life. What we are looking for is life and not to play with/around words. We do not gather only to hear just words; we gather to find life. We all ought to be diggers of life. The Holy Ghost searches the deep things of God; (1 Cor. 2:10) and we are to follow Him because He has been given permission to show the things of the Father to us. The Holy Ghost wants us to be like Him in understanding; He wants us to begin to think like Him. The Holy Ghost imparts wisdom to us to comprehend the things of the Father.
Night is when we are limited in what we can do; it is a time we stop working because we cannot proceed any further. Night does not mean darkness; rather, it refers to a limitation. The scientists are looking for instruments to see the human spirit but they would not be able to find it. This is because the human mind is limited except God shows up to expand the mind with His things. Many minds who have learnt only the milk of the word equate having Everlasting Life to having healthy bodies and earthly success; but these are not the characteristics of Everlasting Life. We cannot use earthly things to define the purpose of Eternal Life. Many have the experience of not being sick or longevity of life, but this cannot be termed as having everlasting life.
To receive Eternal Life, one must agree with Everlasting Life. Only a soul that has received Everlasting Life can receive Eternal Life because the purpose of Everlasting Life is to see Eternal Life. We must first agree with life and peace to move into Everlasting Life. Many are ignorant of the process needed by the soul to inherit Eternal Life; so, they assume Eternal Life is the life that gives them earthly benefits.
“He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.” (Ps. 18:11). The night time is a place where Satan cannot come into, for it is the realm of the fulness of the Father. In the beginning, God created the earth and hid it in waters and darkness (Gen. 1:2). If the earth was left open, fallen angels who left heaven would have come to the earth and made a mess of it. Thick darkness surrounded the earth and the only Being who could access it was the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost was able to brood on the waters that filled the heavens to the earth; He alone has the power to brood over such a body of waters. God uses waters and darkness to hide. Waters are everlasting words; and we move from one water to another water.
There is a dark (end) dimension of everlasting life. This does not connote something evil; rather, it means something in a realm we cannot see or comprehend. “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” (1 John 5:18). We have all come to the pavilion of God and He will hide us there so that the evil one cannot touch us. If you remain in the dark dimension, the evil one cannot touch you. The everlasting word will teach us the culture of hiding; for that is what everlasting sons do – they hide. It is unlawful to manifest as a son when God has not finished the work of revelation in you. Peculiar people are in the Most Holy Place and the principle of God is to hide them.
This does not mean we are afraid of the devilbut we must hide until Eternal Life comes to us. Everlasting life will teach us how to keep ourselves from the evil one (Jude 1:21; 1 John 5:18). Anyone who is no longer sinning is keeping himself. John got to this point; he was looking for the mercy of God unto Eternal Life. John kept himself because he was begotten of God. When we keep ourselves, we would receive Eternal Life.
