There is a warfare in the spirit against light, and it is because of Everlasting Life. This is a warfare of boundary; because it is at a dimension where Everlasting Life will need to join Eternal Life. As such, it is not an easy war to fight. The reason for this warfare is because the adversary does not want it to be recorded in the spirit that some men are beginning to understand beyond the span of the present.
We need to come to the night of things, which is the boundary of the covenant of peace in the Holy Place. This is how we can enter into the Most Holy Place. We have gone past the Holy Place in understanding because everlasting words are now being declared amongst us. It is not everyone that can understand what ‘everlasting’ means. It is a great blessing for us to understand these things because many people hardly do so.
In God’s benevolence and magnanimity, He gave the world the gift of His Eternal Son (John 3:16). Therefore, we must all come to acknowledge Jesus as a Gift (John 4:10). The reason why many men esteem other things in this world higher than Jesus is because of idolatry. If we realize that Jesus is a gift, we will put other things aside and focus on Him. The prince of the darkness of this world has given mankind a culture of darkness, which has eroded our ability to rightly evaluate what real gifts are. As such, men are wasting away.
The current state of the church is such that it cannot even rescue men who have become wastes or desolations. This is because many ministers are not yet partaking of Everlasting Life; they have not been healed from the state of ‘waste’. When they see those who are in this condition (of waste), all they see in them is a means of profiting. Waste refers to a pile up of the nature of the old man. However, the church will come back to its glory; and those who have become wastes will be transformed into finished goods called wholesome men (Isa. 61:4). God is going to nail down everlasting things deep into us such that, we will be completely free.
Everlasting Life is the Word of life, which is from the beginning (1 John 1:1-2). It is a kind of Eternal Life under the Eternal God. You cannot get to Eternal Life without Everlasting Life. The realm of Eternal Life is the realm of God, but you cannot sit on His throne without learning His presence. In His presence, you will learn joy – the teaching of Everlasting Life.
Everlasting Life is the life of His presence; but the realm of pleasures evermore is Eternal. The throne of God is an Eternal throne; it is beyond Everlasting Life. Jesus will first bring us into God’s presence before bringing us to the throne of the Majesty. This presence is beyond that of the Holy Spirit; it is a realm of joy which represents everlasting strength (Neh. 8:10). Everlasting strength is a strength in the Lord; it is a strength of God’s joy. The strength of God's joy is a communication of Everlasting Life. Therefore, Everlasting Life is a type of life that precedes Eternal Life. This life can only be found in God's presence. One who is in the presence of God has broken through to Him.
The presence of God is different from His right hand position. The right hand position is in God’s Majesty and it is higher than His presence (Psa. 16:11). You need to learn His presence to get to His Majesty. At the right hand of the Majesty on high, Jesus is the High Priest of God (Heb. 8:1). This is the position of His final glory. When He operates from here, He goes beyond being a Minister of the Sanctuary to being a Minister of presence and of the true tabernacle. This is when He is operating in the season of joy. God knows when a man is in His presence and He will not thrust out one who is welcome there. This means it is possible to be cast out of Everlasting Life (Psa. 51:11).
Presence is the receiving of things that are incorruptible, which makes a man unmovable. It is not just a feeling but an attainment or a state in the spirit. As Christ, one may not appear in God’s presence; but when such a man passes from death unto life and moves into the Holy of Holies, God will see him. This means He has agreed to deal with him. We will not be taken into God's presence when we are not ready for it.
One sign that a man has entered the presence of God is that he will be experiencing salvation. Salvation is a redemption to finally seal a man. This is so that he will not go back to perishing. Christ gives a man a level of escape, but the final escape is in the "so great salvation" (Heb. 2:3). The work of presence is to embellish our souls with salvation. Salvation is the work of joy because it is with joy that we will draw waters from the well of salvation (Isaiah 12:3). Wells of salvation represent Everlasting Life. A well typifies a work within; therefore, God's work is a well because it is done within a man. Eternal Life however is not a well or depth; it is a flow or an issuing forth from the Throne. It is a majestic life, for majestic things are things of eternal value.
Presence is beyond feelings. It is a realm of love -- a place where one is accepted before God. The presence of God is a place where when a man enters; it grants him an audience with God. It is the place of prayer and the realm of joy. When you have arrived at joy, you have arrived at salvation. The way God gives Salvation is through fellowship, and this fellowship is with the Father. This fellowship is a product of presence.
One can be in a level of joy, but there is yet another level that is the ‘fullness of joy’. The first level was described in John 14:21: “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him”. However, for one’s joy to be full, one has to come into the second level, which was described in John 14:23: “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him”. Both of them are levels of the Father’s love.
The Father’s love is a commendation of the Father to a man. It is by His verdict that Jesus manifests Himself to a man. At this level, He would not manifest Himself as Christ but as the Son of God, because He would be coming to impact salvation. This salvation is joy. There is another season for salvation to be full (John 14:23). It is the man who has come to this state that the Father will love again; and then, both He and His Son (Jesus) will come and abide in him. This is the realm of fullness. When the Father and the Son come to you, your joy comes into fullness.
When the Father and the Son make an abode in a man, the Father takes the position of the Husbandman, Jesus as the tree (the Vine), and the man who has become Their abode becomes a branch – one who would be grafted into the Vine. It is at this day that this man will know that He is in the Son, and the Son is in him; and that the Father is in the Son, and the Son is in the Father (John 14:20).
The Father abides by the Vine and the Vine of God is our Lord Jesus Christ. It is those who belong to the Father and the Son that are the branches on the Vine. Then, the Father will prune them to bear more fruit. This pruning will cleanse them from all sin, which is the tendency for iniquity. Nothing can deal with iniquity but everlasting light. This was why Jesus told us to ensure we abide in the Vine. However, it is possible for a branch to take itself out of the Vine because Satan can tempt him to leave the Vine.
The branch refers to the Church. The Father will work on this branch, so that He can bring it into a higher realm or tabernacle. Churches (branches) are of varying degrees: there are branches of righteousness, peace and joy. When a branch has borne fruit at a level, God breaks it off and promotes it into another. This is so that it can do a greater work. The work which must be done by a branch is to remain in the trunk of the Vine; and allow the life of the Husbandman to flow through the Vine into it, until the season of fruitfulness.
It is not easy to remain in the Vine because the devil fights the Vine. However, this does not mean that there is a problem with the Vine; the problem is with the branches. Every branch ought to bear fruit, otherwise, the Father will take it away and cast it forth (John 15:2). This means that one who has Everlasting Life can still wither (lose the life). Therefore, we need mercy to stay through bearing fruit until the end. This fruit is a fruit unto joy (life everlasting). The realm of the abode in which fruit has been borne signifies that the branch will no longer sin because it has been begotten.
The wicked one will not be able to touch (attach himself to) one who has fullness of joy (1 John 5:18). The wicked one seeks to touch the branch, to become a part of him and stain him. Therefore, we need to have every sense of keeping and be wise. We need to keep the doctrine of God, the Father and the Son; because one who does not keep them can be touched by the enemy.
We should not even be found fellowshipping with one who is a partaker of evil deeds (2 John 1:10-11). Such a person is a transgressor because he is not ignorant. This is one who already knows this doctrine but hates it and then turned against it. He is different from someone who is not measuring up but still has a willingness to follow God. One who wilfully turns against it is harmful and we should not company with such.
We need to be wise on how to keep ourselves from the adversary; we can gain the judgement of how to do so. The best any man can do for a transgressor is to intercede for him because only God can handle him. However, we should not be in the company of such because what he carries is contagious. The reason we must do this is to keep our feasts pure (2 John 1:10). It is necessary that we keep our consciences pure by not keeping company with such people.
The abiding realm is your ‘night’. When you stay in this secret place of Everlasting Life called 'night', you will look for the mercy of God unto Eternal Life.
