Arriving at Judgement by the Seven Spirits of God (CTP)

Most Holy Call to Pray (CTP, 12th April, 2021)

Topic: Arriving at Judgement by the Seven Spirits of God

Minister: Rev. Kayode Oyegoke

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Heb. 4:12-13). The word of God can discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. One vital thing about the High Priest is the eyes of judgement that are resident within Him. These eyes consist of all the things that the High Priest knows.

For a man to understand all that the High Priest has, he needs to come into the knowledge of the things that raised Him. These things are made available by the discernment or judgment that the seven Spirits of God delivers to the soul. Without this discernment, one cannot know all things that are of God, who is a Spirit (John 4:24).

“And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.” (Rev. 4:5). The lightnings, thunderings and voices are activities of the seven Spirits of God. These seven Spirits of God are not the Spirits of Christ, although Christ cannot also be understood without the seven Spirits of the Lord (Isa. 11:2-3).

The first illumination of our (darkened) understanding comes from the spirit of wisdom and revelation, both of which are eyes of Christ (Eph. 1:17). They are teaching spirits. The spirit of wisdom makes one wise while the spirit of understanding gives revelation. Wisdom and revelation are both attitudes in the spirit – they are a character or gene.

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” (Eph. 5:21). The fear of the Lord is needed to keep unity in the home in the order that God has specified. Submission is the love commandment for the woman, whereas loving the wife is the love commandment for the man (Eph. 5:22-25). Submitting to one’s husband and loving one’s wife cannot be done by human power or culture; it takes stature built in a soul by God to keep these commandments.

No one wants to be cheated, but in the order of God, it is different. We should go into marriage with faith, as your spouse may do things you do not want. The fear of God is needed in fulfilling the marriage institution as God demands. This is why both parties must not come into marriage for themselves but for Him (1 Pet. 3:1-2).

No marriage can flourish without the revelation of Christ. Marriage does not flourish based on ethical advice or some counselling based on books written by men. Marriage is older than books written by men; it began in Eden. This is why spiritual stature is needed to keep homes from breaking down. If a man is built up spiritually and the wife is not, or vice versa, one should bear with the shortcoming of the other till the other party is built (1 Cor. 7:14). The focus of both parties in the marital union should be to attain the salvation of their souls.

One thing that prevents homes from standing is the love for this world. The commandment of the wife submitting to the husband may seem difficult but the command to the husband to love the wife as Christ loved the church, is a higher demand (Eph. 5:25). Much is expected of the husband because he is meant to do more. Men tend to prefer to see their wives submitting to them more than them loving their wives. However, men are meant to love their wives until they submit because this is how Jesus loved the church until she can submit. This is also the heart that Pastors should have towards the flock; this is how they should love the flock.

It will take a man laying down his life for his wife to cause her to submit. The mercy of the High Priest is required for each spouse to fulfil the commands of the Lord for their marriage. It takes an inward spiritual building (or stature) to keep the home. The Lord first formed the man and then the woman before bringing them together (1 Tim. 2:13). This entails a formation of stature or an everlasting building ahead of time and against the adversary. Satan hates the institution of marriage with passion. The evil spirits that propagate homosexuality hate the union between the husband and wife. It takes the spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord to make the home stand.

We need the first two eyes of the Menorah to begin the journey towards the Holy Place. The eyes are the spirits of wisdom and revelation. They will be given to us while we are still far away from the tabernacle, but we must be hungry for it and be ready to gravitate towards God for them to be given. Immediately these two eyes of the Lord are given to a man, he would begin to know the hope of his calling in Christ (Eph. 1:18-19). He would begin to shut down on his trust in the life of this world. Such a soul will begin to acquire the riches or knowledge of Christ and would gradually be raised from the dead. It is when a man has journeyed to the Holy Place that he would get the horns and sticks of the menorah. The eyes will then take their place in the Menorah.

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death…” (Philip. 3:10). Paul already had the spirit of wisdom and revelatio; but the content of his prayer in this scripture was not yet obtained by him. Paul had the operation of the seven Spirits of the Lord at work in him but needed to break through the veil into the Most Holy Place. Only then will the seven Spirits of judgment be given. These Spirits of judgements will help one not to judge after the sight of the eyes or ears (Isa. 11:3). This is the season when the Spirit of judgements are given and this takes place when one is in the Most Holy Place.

The Menorah typifies the seven Spirits of the Lord in the Holy Place; while the seven lamps of fire are the seven Spirits of God in the Most Holy Place (Rev. 4:5). The seven Spirits of God are also the burning eyes of God; just like the burning eyes of the Lord are collectively referred to as the “spirit of burning” (Rev. 1:14, Isa. 4:4). The Spirits of the Lord precede the shining of God’s glory by the Spirits of judgements.

The Holy Place will be dark without the candlestick. Thus, the eye is the power of the Menorah and it defines what this candlestick can generate. The candlestick generates the light that is needed for the purpose of eating the shewbread and to proceed to the altar that is before the veil (Heb. 9:2-3). Those who are seeking entrance into the Most Holy Place are the ones who can get to the altar that is close to the veil.

The lamps, horns and shewbread are meant for proceeding to the altar for the offering of incense. An able priest is required to offer incense. Offering incense is an accomplishment of service. It will take many priests to complete cycles of service in order to offer incense until the day of atonement. This is what Zechariah was doing while the people prayed outside (Luke 1:9-10). Incense constitutes materials which when offered to God pave the way for the people of God.

We have to learn many things for abundant entrance into the everlasting Kingdom of God (2 Pet. 1:11). When God is being built in us, then we are being raised for His habitation. The materials God wants to use to build us are materials of the throne. We must therefore hold fast this doctrine, for this is the time of need (Heb. 4:16). The time of need is the season of the ministry of the High Priest.

Those who have not journeyed through Christ will struggle to cope in this season while those who have been obeying will do well. This season of salvation is the time to fight weariness and be focused. We must have enough willingness and hunger in our hearts to receive what God is bringing to us so we can change. We must learn to hate iniquity this season so that God would do what He needs to.
