Ministers' Conference
Date: Tuesday, 10th August 2021
Ministering: Reverend Busuyi Olabode
We cannot talk about salvation without having to deal (majorly) with sin. Sin is a major issue that became the reason the Bible was written. It is possible that we would presently be dealing with a different subject (outside sin) if Adam had not sinned. The issue of sin would have probably been addressed with a different approach. Sin created a gap between God and man; and this gap must be addressed.
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Heb. 9:28). Sin is something that stops men from entertaining the appearances of our Lord Jesus. The issue of sin must be well understood for it to be dealt with. Grace is meant to deal with sin. Sin has abounded and so, grace must abound much more (Romans 5:20).
Lucifer is an entity of the third heaven; he is a paradisical being. Eden is paradise and God brought a type of it to earth. God is the first inhabitant of Eden; and it was not strange to Lucifer when he found the type on earth because that had been his dwelling place. This was why he could also plant a tree in Eden and no one could stop him. Paul spoke of the man he saw in the third heaven, who was caught up to paradise (2 Cor. 12:2). It was a thing of glory for Paul, but Lucifer had dwelt there. Satan was a magnificent being but something went wrong that made him lose that place; and he was brought down from Eden.
“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” (Ezek. 28:15). Lucifer was perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him. Something that was potent enough to bring Lucifer down must have been higher than him. Iniquity was first found in Lucifer when he sinned. The sin of Lucifer was not called disobedience as Adam’s sin was called; it was rather called iniquity (Rom. 5:19). Iniquity can be discerned and known before we can even hate (it) as Jesus did (Heb. 1:9). You cannot hate what you do not know.
Sin is a nature that has no life until a person triggers the law that activates its life. The strength of sin is its law (1 Cor. 15:56). Many bacteria in a virus are inactive until they find a host; without a host they are dead - so it is with sin. Iniquity came to life because someone triggered the law that gave it life; and God cannot stay with iniquity.
There is a way the scripture used the words sin, transgression and iniquity (Exo. 34:7). Many times, they are used the same way, but sometimes they are distinctly used because they are not the same. Iniquity evolved fully because someone gave allegiance to it. Sinning means missing the mark or doing things in a way that is not in alignment with God’s order. Sin is becoming complex to handle. It has moved from the visible realm to unseen realm. We need measures of light to expose sin.
Sin, death and transgression are all spirits. Adam passed sin to us; but we were shaped in iniquity because we cooperated (Romans 5:19). No one can partake of iniquity without cooperation. Lucifer cannot play ignorant because he cooperated with the process that caused iniquity to be found in him. Lucifer’s iniquity was a terminal one and it cannot be purged. A full-blown iniquity cannot be purged. Satan cannot be forgiven because he fell from paradise.
Every creature has its law. Sin and death have a law as well. For anything to have life, it must have a law. For anything to be an organism or have life, it must have DNA. Life is kept in its law. Sins in the Church have morphed, and we need a higher light to handle the Church. The souls in the Church have gone through all manner of trainings in this world. Souls have been complicated through weavings of sin. If a thing has life, then it must have a law. God is a Life and there are laws of God. God’s laws define Him. Man is a law; Christ also is a law. We cannot talk about the life of the Godhead when we do not understand their laws.
Sin has morphed from disobedience to iniquity. God forgives, but forgiveness that leads to remission of sins has a program. God cannot pardon iniquity; iniquity is a thing that must be dealt with (Exo. 34:7). There is a program of cleansing or offering of sacrifices in the New Testament; just as sin offering, peace offering, burnt offering, etc are to measure for reconciliation in the Old Testament.
Many believers call on Jesus’ name but they do not do what He says. Jesus called them “workers of iniquity” (Matt. 7:22-23). They were not just committing sin, but they had graduated to cooperating with the law of iniquity. They became a tool that iniquity could use to procreate itself. If Jesus knew them, He would have dealt with iniquity in them. The reason for knowledge is so that iniquity can be dealt with. The measure to which we know the Lord is the measure to which iniquity has been dealt with in us.
“Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.” (Luke 13:24-26). If these men who were denied entrance into the door had been in the way of Christ, the door would have opened unto them. The door has a mastery of those who are on the way. The door is a personality, a construction that knows those who are His; and He just opens to them (John 10:7-9). It means that these “workers of iniquity” did not pass through the way in order to be brought into the door. They did not journey through the way even though they had some levels of activities. There were many things that they still had in themselves that made them unacceptable. There are works in our souls that should be undone before we can be admitted into the Kingdom of God.
God is independent. However, He is not just independent, He is a law which constitutes His divine nature. Lucifer wanted to become as God but broke the law that makes Him. Lucifer did not recognize that the Godhead are interdependent because of the high law of love that binds Them. All that Lucifer could see was the independence of God. The persons of the Godhead do not use their independence anyhow, They are subject to the law of love that binds.
A man cannot get to iniquity except he or she knows how to break laws. Transgression is a bad skill in the spirit. Sin is the transgression of the law. For a man to get to iniquity, he must learn disobedience, then transgression until he arrives in iniquity. A man of iniquity is a wicked man; such a man must first learn iniquity to be able to do wickedness. Iniquity informed David on how to get Uriah's wife. Iniquity is the wisdom to execute sin. So a wicked man is a wise man. Iniquity teaches a man to carry out his evil desire. Jonadab sold wisdom to Amnon to get his evil desires accomplished. Amnon's shyness was a foolishness that would not allow thoughts of iniquity to be executed.
The men in Job 22:12-23 charted a way to depart from God. We keep God away from our tabernacle when we keep iniquity. Leaders who are following God have more constraints than the followers. The job of the Almighty is to teach us how to put iniquity far away from us. Iniquity can waste a lot of treasure. We cannot store up gold as dust if iniquity has not been dealt (Job 22:24).
The way of iniquity is its law. The law that immobilizes the laws of iniquity is the law of God, which is put in the mouth of priests. Iniquity can be dealt with by the words put on the lips of priests. The spirit of iniquity is a law of a (fallen) priest. The beginning of dealing with iniquity is through the law of Christ. The law of Christ is the law of truth that is put in the mouth of priests (Mal. 2:7).
Iniquity cannot be put away from the soul in one day. We became servants to unrighteousness, and we moved to acquire iniquity unto iniquity. “I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.” (Romans 6:19). Iniquity is in varying degrees but the beginning of dealing with it is in the Holy Place. The power of iniquity is first broken in the Holy Place. We must yield our members to righteousness and unto holiness.
Righteousness is a working that leads a man to the state of holiness. Anyone that has been stationed in holiness has the hope of Eternal Life. Iniquity is not destroyed in one day; it is a program that only Jesus Christ has the power to handle. Jesus Christ wants to give this power to priests through His doctrine.
Sin has a way of trying to escape the radar of men; but the lips of the priests ought to keep knowledge, so that sin can be arrested. The name of Christ would begin to erode the laws of iniquity in the soul (2 Tim. 2:19). As we begin to learn the doctrine of Christ, we begin to reduce the wisdom of iniquity. Iniquity is wisdom just as Christ is also a wisdom (1 Cor. 1:24). The revelation of the Almighty or the Father is the wisdom that would deal with iniquity in its entirety. It takes the law of Christ and the Everlasting Law to deal with iniquity. If a man goes through these covenants, iniquity would not be found in him. Such is a man that can be presented to God.
“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.” (Proverbs 16:6). It takes mercy and truth to purge iniquity. The job of purging iniquity can only be done by the Father because only His eyes can see into it (Heb. 4:12). It was difficult for Adam and Eve to have been saved in Eden because the revelation of the Almighty had not been revealed. It was the revelation of God that was in operation. However, Jesus came to fully unveil the Almighty or the Father. Our Lord Jesus came to show us how the Father can receive us; He came to show us how the Father would cleanse and receive us (2 Cor. 6:17-18). A son is purged when his rights or will is taken from him.
The way into sonship is to become a servant (Matt. 23:11). The prodigal son used his rights first; that was why all his rights were taken away. When the prodigal son came back, he offered to be a servant (Luke 15:21). When he came asking to be a servant, the father didn't refuse him. The father gave him what a son deserves but with the heart of a (higher) servant. So, he had rights; but he would rather serve. That's the right heart and it is in that service that he would be cleansed. This is the way to purge sons.
The law of iniquity cannot be purged from our souls without the Father's training. However, the Father can only train those who come to Him. Any son that escapes the training of the Father is a bastard, and he would never be received (Heb. 12:8). Jesus Christ has opened a way for us into the everlasting covenant, where we would hear His voice as the Father (Heb. 10:19). Ministers should be able to bring forth laws that will cause men to escape and be delivered from iniquity. The law of the Lord and the Everlasting laws must be at work in our gatherings, Churches, and assemblies in every place.
