What God speaks at every level is wisdom; whether at the level of Christ, the Father or God (1 Cor. 1:30). Satan is a being who is also full of wisdom even though he has no power (Eze. 28:12). He has a wisdom that is higher than what man can comprehend. In the Garden of Eden, he approached Adam and Eve with a level of wisdom that they could not resolve; and as such, they fell.
A kind of wisdom was responsible for making man foolish (Rom. 1:22-23). Man was not created without wisdom, but Satan has darkened his wisdom. As such, Adam could no longer reason properly after he ate of that tree and began to act like a fool (Gen. 3:7). It took the Only Wise God to correct his attempt to cloth himself with fig leaves by killing an animal and clothing Adam with its hide.
Satan did a work that is difficult for man to break free from. In God’s wisdom, He began to bring different levels of wisdom to man, the first being Christ. Christ is a learning, teaching and communication of a wisdom that can make us better than this world. Choosing not to learn Christ is choosing to remain in foolishness; because the adversary who tempted man (and still does so till today) is full of wisdom.
Christ is the first wisdom that is designed to break a man free from foolishness. Foolishness is not illiteracy as men define it. One who is very knowledgeable about this world but lacks the knowledge of Christ may actually be foolish, irrespective of his natural status. What will break such a man free from the grip of foolishness is when he is decked with the wisdom called Christ.
When man ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he fell below the level of Christ. The gospel of God is a wisdom, but it cannot be taught to just any man (2 Cor. 4:3). Those, unto whom this wisdom can be taught are those who have been made perfect by the wisdom of Christ. When Christ is given to a soul, he has been visited by wisdom. This wisdom is that which can set us free; therefore, we must not be tired of learning it.
The Church is a place of learning; it is a place where wisdom must be communicated to the saints. As such, we should take our time to diligently learn the wisdom that is being given to us.
Satan is aware that the wisdom that can bring Him down is this wisdom of Everlasting Life. The only wisdom that can deal with sin is this hidden wisdom. Therefore, our Father is bringing it our way. God intends to make us wise so, we must not be tired of this wisdom. We should find grace to go to the Lord in prayer and let Him know that we are willing to learn in this season.
