Just like we have come into the principles of the doctrine of Christ, which are the principles of faith, hope and charity, we will keep coming into the precepts of the everlasting. We need to wait more upon this because it is still being unveiled. It will have to be precept upon precept, here a little and there a little (Isa. 28:10). There is a precept of everlasting life which we need to journey into, so that the teaching of everlasting life will be deeply rooted in us. God will want us to labour seriously for that.
Psalm 119:142-144
“Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. [143] Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. [144] The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.”
We have enjoyed an allocation as a company, which is the righteousness of faith to faith, and have gained this precept. The righteousness of faith to faith, which is the activity of faith, hope and to charity (the bond of perfection), is to bring us into the covenant of life and peace. To come into life and peace is to come into a state in our soul, whereby there is nothing that stands as an offence to God. This is a place where our hearts are no longer offended by what God's standards spell out.
There are times we become offended at the word of righteousness while learning it, because we want to preserve a life that righteousness seeks to take from us. James said that there are wars in our members because we want to consume the things we desire on our lusts (Jam. 4:1-3). What the righteousness of faith to faith wants to do is to dismantle lusts in us, and that is the reason we find it difficult to come to the place of peace. Wars in our members are fleshly lusts that war against the soul (1Pet. 2:11).
The learning of this righteousness is to dismantle this warfare - to bring us to a season where things that war with our members are being dealt with (Gal. 5:17), and to take the soul to a place where he becomes a peacemaker. A soul that is a peacemaker is a Christ soul; this is a soul that has come into a place of yielding and surrender to the will of God. God has to make sure that war has ceased in us before He brings the season of the everlasting to us.
The teaching of the righteousness of faith is to conquer every zone in us that is not yet in submission to Christ. It is to bring us into obedience to Christ, then God will now bring us into avenging all things that need to be avenged. The season of everlasting is the season of avenging; as we have been taught by God's servant, Rev. Kayode Oyegoke, it is the day of the vengeance of our God. We cannot come into this season without God judging every disobedience. One who will receive everlasting testimonies must have been converted from flesh to spirit.
Paul called the season of the everlasting righteousness, the ministration of righteousness (2 Cor. 3:9). God by mercy is bringing us into the ministration of righteousness that exceeds in glory. This is telling us that the righteousness we need to partake of in this season is coming from the realm of glory - the Father of glory. We need to wait to know the precepts of that righteousness. Precepts here means the commandments of that righteousness - we need to be commanded. There are things that this everlasting righteousness will want us to embrace and receive.
Psalm 119:142
“Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.”
There is the everlasting righteousness and the teaching of this righteousness is the standard or parameters of everlasting life. The whole earth is in great rebellion against God like never before. The number of spirits that are now on earth is more than before. Men are becoming wild and we know that this is not ordinary. When souls start becoming wild, it is because there are wild spirits driving men. Men are expressing what we call “wildlife”. Wildlife is now on the rampage in the nations of the earth: where men are breaking away from boundaries and taking away everything that God has set as boundaries. As a result, what is right is becoming blurred among the nations of the earth.
This is why God is exalting everlasting righteousness to the church. The church can no longer play in the middle ground or stand on the fence; it is too dangerous for us to do that. These spirits on earth have also come to intimidate men, harass men and keep their mouths shut. This is therefore a season where men ought to be strong, both in taking a stand and not allowing their mouths to be silent. We must not keep silent until righteousness goes forth as brightness and salvation as the lamp that burneth. (Isa. 62:1).
Just as we have enjoyed the righteousness of faith, we need to wait in this season to learn everlasting righteousness. The way of righteousness and the path of righteousness is not where we can even imagine. God constituted the way of righteousness in the wilderness. The wilderness is Christ; it is also the life of the Spirit. The path of righteousness is in the valley of the shadow of death. When the children of Israel left Egypt, God introduced them to the wilderness and in the wilderness are beasts and fiery serpents. There are wild spirits in the wilderness, but this was where God constituted the way for the children of Israel. They needed to learn to go through that way because it is where God has ordained to open forth things that should come to His people.
In this season of everlasting life, we will need to fight with some wild beasts. It is also in the wilderness that the download of everlasting righteousness will come to us (Psa. 23:5). It is good for us to know that we will be amid these wild spirits because that is how God has ordained it: God set up the highway of holiness in the wilderness. You will not enter into the promise without that journey in the wilderness because that is where God has constituted the way of righteousness. He wants us to be built by these contradictions - these contrary spirits that are against the way everlasting.
Proverbs 8:20-21
“I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: [21] That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”
Everlasting life has its way and we must be ready to be introduced into it. The way everlasting is in the wilderness. We will not partake of everlasting life or the incorruptible without the way everlasting. When God wants to bring His people to everlasting life, He introduces them to the way; the way must be opened to the people. It is in that way the covenant, doctrine and things of everlasting life will come to them. Those who refuse to come into the way of everlasting life will be denied things which God gives in the way, like the truth of everlasting life.
By reason of the dealing and leading of the Spirit, we all have the way in us. However, the fact that we have found this way does not mean we will not go through some experiences for our souls to be opened up in the everlasting way. Everlasting life has its manner which we need to yield ourselves to again, as we yielded to the way of Christ.
John 14:4
“And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
This means that we should also know the way He was going. What the Godhead first initiates in a people is The Way because this is where They bring corrections to align us to what we are inheriting. The essence of learning Christ and gaining the life called peace, which is also the stature of a godly man, is so that we can discern the way everlasting. This is because it will take Christ - a perfect man - to see the way everlasting.
The way means understanding - understanding firstly of how we ought to comport ourselves in this era. There is a measure of understanding that the Lord is bringing to our hearts, so that we can hold this understanding and then find the way into this everlasting life. It is by understanding we ought to engage ourselves in this hour, so that a shift may happen in our souls. This life is not religious, rather, it is a thing of the heart
Romans 6:17
“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”
As a result of this obedience, formation is brought forth - we are turned into servants of righteousness. As we keep obeying, we will eventually be brought into a season of everlasting life. The essence of the understanding that will visit us in this season is to open us up to this everlasting life. The Lord dropped in my heart that He needs to teach us the way into this life and that way will come through understanding.
When understanding is coming to us, what we do with it matters; our response to understanding is very important in this season. Understanding in our love walk will open up the way to everlasting life.
1 Peter 1:22
“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently…”
This is an instruction into the way everlasting. These people were loving the brethren, but they still needed to do something more - they needed to love one another with a pure heart fervently. How we will find the way everlasting is through our fervent charity walk to the brethren. There is a walk we have generated in the past through the purging of truth, but we need to have an understanding of what fervent love is. Love is an understanding that dawns on the heart when it is distilled upon the heart. When the heart can exercise itself in it, there is something that will open up to the heart. The reason why many of us still have issues understanding what the servant of God, Rev. Kayode Oyegoke, is teaching is because a way (an understanding) has not yet been made in us.
Matthew 3:3
“For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
What is responsible to prepare the way everlasting in our hearts is the Voice. The reason why we do not comprehend the way we ought to is because something has not yet been opened up in us. There is a place of the anointing upon to teach this, but it is not enough without a way in the heart. There is a way into everlasting life which the Spirit leads us into it, but something must also be wrought in us.
The ability of the man of God, Rev. Kayode Oyegoke to meander in the spirit is as a result of the authority of the Word of God on him. We cannot all share the authority upon, as it is given to the servant of God, but we must all have the way on our inside. God has blessed His servant with the voice of one crying. The essence of that voice is to open the way inside of us. That is why when you move from spiritual understanding to quickening understanding, you have ascended in the way within you. It is an experience the soul comes into.
Psalm 23:3
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”
Righteousness has its path, which is the path of life. Guiding us in the path of righteousness is guiding the soul so that it can make furtherance into life and peace, and then find a way into everlasting life.
Love is a way in the heart (1 Cor. 12:31). There is a way we have comprehended charity in previous times, but God must help us to comprehend it in a better way like never before. Charity is the bond of perfection that God uses to open something within the soul into the everlasting realm. We must find the way into everlasting life just as we found the way into Christ, and that way is an understanding. We must therefore begin to trust God to yield ourselves to Him, so that we will embrace those instructions that He is bringing to us this season concerning our love walk.
1 Peter 1:23
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
This is how we come into the season of the incorruptible which is the realm of the everlasting – by being born again.
Psalm 119:144
“The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.”
“To live” here does not mean to live by faith; there is a living by faith, but there is also a living by the incorruptible seed which consists of the first and last works.
1 Peter 1:24-25
“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: [25] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
The response of the Lord for us in this season is to do charity that will open up the way everlasting in us. The way everlasting needs to be opened to us so that we can be trained in it. It is in the way that souls are suffered to hunger and what is in their hearts is revealed.
Moses walked in love till he became the meekest man on the earth. He did this love walk to a level that he could not defend himself. We can walk with the brethren and still have some things to defend ourselves. However, God will take us to a place of fervent charity where we will be dealt with as Moses. Moses generated a high charity conversation. He did not part way with his father-in-law as Abraham and Lot did, as such, he must have endured a lot. He came to know the way of the Lord through this and then He could ask to see God's glory (Exo. 33:18).
We are to gain mastery of charity walk that will bring us into a kind of meekness that can receive the dimension of the word known as the engrafted word – the incorruptible word (Jam. 1:21). Charity will make us meek. The understanding that will be coming to us this season concerning walking in love is a key to the way everlasting. The everlasting way is a highway of holiness (Isa. 35:8). What God sees as holiness is a man of peace (Heb. 12:14). There are grades of holiness: Christ is holy but there is another level of holiness as laid out in 1 Peter 1:16 – “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” There is a chastening of the Father that comes to us for us to be a partaker of His kind of holiness and we must partake of this holiness in order to see the way everlasting. However, this way will still show us another highway of holiness.
Holiness separates us from everything that is flesh or that which is carnal (2 Cor. 6:17). There is that which will be done to us concerning our love walk and validate us to God as a holy people, so that we may be brought into the way everlasting. Charity will address every form of uncleanliness in us so that we can be received by the Father. The Godhead wants to receive us into the everlasting way through the gateway of charity.
There are general instructions but there are also specific instructions. Those specific instructions we will be receiving this season are the things that will lead us into our next thrust which is the everlasting realm. The more one walks in charity, the more understanding concerning this matter will increase. If we only pray and do not do charity, we will not have the kind of breakthrough that the Lord wants us to have in this season.
