Most Holy Call to Pray (CTP, 14th April, 2021)
Topic:Overcoming Iniquity by the Books
Minister: Rev. Kayode Oyegoke
“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” (Dan. 7:9-10). The ‘ten thousand times ten thousand’ are servants of God while the ‘thousand thousands’ minister to Him. The servants are closest to God while the ministers are farther from Him. The servants are fewer in number than the ministers because they are usually taken out from the ministers.
The warfare of Michael, the Archangel, is to raise these servants and ministers on earth because God is expecting a company of people who have been completely healed, sanctified, and delivered from iniquity. He wants people who have been made completely whole.
Servants who stand are those who have done the works of everlasting life, while those who minister are those who have finished the course of Christ and are preparing to do the works of Everlasting Life. This ‘ministering’ is not referring to preaching done over the pulpit but an attitude in the spirit that calls for glory. Ministering speaks of offerring spiritual sacrifices unto God in order to gain entrance into the Most Holy Place. Those who minister will not stop ministering until God gets servants out of them, who are able to stand before Him.
To ‘stand' is to be before judgment or be among the congregation of the righteous that can judge with God. The ungodly cannot stand in the judgement of God because they are like the chaff that the wind blows away; but the godly will be able to stand (Psa. 1:4-5).
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Rev. 20:12). These books measure the degree of death in souls; they point out those who have great and small death. Any Christian who disobeys God throughout his lifetime on earth but goes to heaven will be dealt with; such are those who will be saved as though by fire (1 Corin. 3:15). Such a Christian will be made humble by purification of the fire and nothing of this world will remain in him. This fire is not merciful to unrighteous works because God will not take anything that is not of His standard.
The purpose of Christ’s redemption - which is through His unsearchable riches - is so that the ark of the testimony will be opened to men. The ark will only be opened to those who have obeyed Christ well. We receive total redemption in Christ; and it has something to do with the testimony in the ark.
The testimony of everlasting life cannot be opened except the Ark is unveiled (Exo. 40:20, Rev. 11:19). It is only a body that has learnt Christ well that will have the body of the Divine Ark. The testimony in the Divine Ark must be given to the body of Christ. We cannot gain the stature to stand before God except we have been reconciled from iniquity.
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” (Dan. 9:24). Those who minister are those in whose souls, an end of sins has been made. However, there can be no reconciliation from iniquity without the books. The books contain the judgments for everlasting works, and it is such that will deal with iniquity. The books give the wisdom of doing works that will last.
In the realm of the Most Holy, there is no life without work. A partaker of divine nature is one who is participating in everlasting Life (2 Pet. 1:4). It is possible for people to see everlasting life and not partake of it. It is when we obey the demands of everlasting life that we would be blessed in all our deeds, and that is when God would command life everlasting upon us (James 1:25, Psa. 133:3). God will not command life when we do not obey His commandments.
It is only by the books that we can be delivered from the mouth of lions or spirits that want to devour and stop the operation of everlasting life in us (Ezek. 19:3, 1 Pet. 5:8). We need to be made wiser than those spirits. Anytime we take a posture of disobedience, the spirit in a realm we have left becomes wiser than us. Satan hates when books are opened because the righteous are saved by them. Therefore, he will fight so that the books will not to be opened.
A soul can only be read or known by the works done or tattooed in it. The book of works contains the writings of what should be done by a soul; and anyone who will finish the works will attain judgment. Judgment books are books of works. Moses did not just write the ten commandments; he also received many other things that have a relationship with the ten commandments. The ten commandments are the testimonies or works while the other commandments are the judgments. The essence of the judgements is to finish the works, although they were not written (Mal. 4:4, Exo. 24:12).
The summation of sin is referred to as iniquity. When the books are opened, iniquities are being dealt with in men. Works of the dead will be judged by the books. There are works (of iniquity) that kill and there are works (of righteousness) that make alive. Without the books, the conscience cannot be purged from dead works (Heb. 9:14). This book is a book of servitude.
“Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.” (Psa. 1:5). What is expected of the righteous is too high for the ungodly and that is why they cannot stand in judgement. The time of judgment is a time when we will be given discernment; it is the time to be exercised in light.
The light that the righteous handles is the light of the strong meat of the word that comes from the books (Heb. 5:14). When you eat the book, you will eat judgment. Then, you will be able to carry out the work of God, which is the work of everlasting life.
We ought to obey the commandments of books till we are able to hewn out the testimony. We are to obey judgments till we attain the testimony. The purpose of the books is for men to attain unto the testimony. The testimony is the summary of the books.
Through iniquity, Satan can train anyone to depart from Christ. This is because iniquity is also a judgment, but a negative one. Iniquity is the operation of Satan in the soul while everlasting righteousness is the operation of God in the soul.
Everlasting righteousness is a high righteousness. Therefore, we must not price what God has done in us cheaply. We must value it and carry it with honour because it is priceless. We should not bring ourselves too low for men to thread on the gift of God in us. Some men want our allegiance to God to be directed towards them. We should carry ourselves with dignity and hate iniquity.
