Topic: The Making of God’s Ark
Minister: Rev. Kayode Oyegoke
The ark in Exodus 25:10 was also a glorious altar that is specially being carried by priests. The staves of the ark are used for carrying the ark and they are for bearing the responsibility (burden) of the ark (Exo. 25:14). The staves are the two works – first works and last works (Rev. 2:5). During the time of Solomon, the staves of the ark were drawn, and they represent the two works or the two pillars. Anyone who does not have these works inside of him cannot bear the ark.
The rings of the ark are works that connect the staves to the ark (Exo. 25:14-15). The ark is purely an eternal box. The staves are everlasting works that connect to Eternal Life (the ark). With the staves, one can carry the ark from everlasting dimension into the Holy Place (the lower regions). This means we can only bear eternity through everlasting life. For the staves to extend themselves to the Holy Place, it speaks of a connection between the Holy Place and the Holiest of all, comprising the first works and the last works.
Thus, we need to understand what God wants us to become. The ark has a crown of gold round about. The phrase “round about” speaks of four (Exo. 25:11). The ark is a beast; and it is only a beast that God can ride upon. The Cherubims of glory are seen on top of the ark, overshadowing the mercy seat. The mercy seat is God's throne. Therefore, we see that the ark bears the throne of God. This is a mystery. The Godhead desire to show us what we are to become.
An ark is also a vessel, built to keep and survive any disaster that the natural human cannot withstand. The four living creatures constitute an ark. They have four rings, which are their four faces according to Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:5,19-21). The ring is the crown of the finger. The four rings of the ark are round about the ark. Similarly, the four living creatures have four faces. The ring is a sign of a crown, which is also a sign of a kingdom. The highest priestly dominion is what the ark carries. Each face constitutes realms of the doors of glory. No one can be an ark if he is not four-faced.
An ark must be made up of a tree. There is a difference between a tree and a wood. A tree is a wood with life, still feeding, mature and ready for use. While a wood is one that is not developed fully for harvest but cut. No one can be an ark if he does not have the age of the tabernacle or everlasting age. In the temple, what is seen are trees of life. But to be harvested into eternal life, one must be overlaid with gold by the Father. Age is needed for the making of ark because age is needed to develop faces. There can never be entrance into eternal life if the faces of glory are not finding expression. The stature of the living creatures is the stature of everlasting life. But they have a head, which is the gift of the Godhead.
Eternal power is a person just as Christ is a person but also the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16-20). Christ is the power of God unto the eternal power, while the eternal power is the ability to attain the Godhead.
The ark of God is a thing of salvation; it is an eternal vessel. The ark of God in the Old Testament is a four-footed beast. The ark is a monster of Eternal Life. We must develop a strength that is beyond creature to tap into Eternal Life.
The four living creatures have their kind of eternity which God gave them, but there is still a veil to the true God (Rev. 4:7-8). If God would leave such beings and come to dwell with us, then we must have grown from being children. God needs an animal of strength, who will keep riding and carrying Him tirelessly. Whosoever will carry God must be ready for eternity; such must be a beast of burden. Our back must be strong because the Chabod (or glory) would be kept at our back. It would be positioned at the back so that we will not see Him.
If we want to become an ark of God, then we must be ready for Eternal Life. Eternity is a great responsibility. God wants to bring the glory of the ark. Chabod speaks of the glory of the ark, such that rests on the ark. God completed the work of the ark and handed it over to the Israelites; but they failed to carry the glory because they could not bear the glory. Another word for glory is burden or weight.
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…" (2 Corin. 4:17). There must be an affliction for the eternal house to be raised. Without an affliction, a more exceeding and eternal weight would not be accounted for us. The more the affliction, the more the glory. The affliction is gradually gathering up and suddenly, the glory would begin to fall upon us.
We must have received the glory of everlasting life to bear the glory of Eternal Life. The ark is a vessel of glory, one that the Godhead can be screwed or fastened upon. The ark is both everlasting life and Eternal Life. The staves of the ark signify everlasting life. The ark can be brought into the Holiest with the staves. This shows that the staves are an extension of the ministry of glory into the Holy Place.
We do not become an ark by birth; arks are made, they are worked upon, built and processed. This means that God will have to build and process us against something that is coming. We must be overlaid within and without.
The ark is overlaid with gold. The ministrations coming to us would be dispensing things that God would use to overlay us. We would be overlaid within and without with gold and this gold are the things of God (Hag. 2:8). God kept things in Himself. It would take the Spirit of glory to go on the inside of God to bring those things out.
There are the things of God and deep things of God; and such are the things that God would use to overlay us. The deep things of God are eternal things while the things of God are everlasting things.
We must first be varnished before we can be overlaid. The process of varnishing or sandpapering is a process of removing impurities, things that God does not want. Then would we be qualified to be overlaid with God.
An ark is not an ordinary instrument. In these last days, God would begin to send arks to nations instead of just an evangelist. It can only take an ark (of God) to fight another ark (of Satan). Satan was an ark that fell. God has to raise superior arks to hack down this ark. God has raised the first Ark (our Lord Jesus), who destroyed Satan, the one who has the power of death (Heb. 2:14). However, God wants to raise little arks under the Ark Jesus, who would do the work of defeating Satan.
What would save the Church is an ark. Out of Africa, India, Asia, arks would come out. This ark would influence the white race and make an ark out of them. This ark must come out of all nations. They would come out from different places. Fellowship is developing from different places and many more would develop, who would be exposed to the ministry of glorious angels.
