Ministering: Pastor Tope Falaye

Many have erroneously believed that we would only be able to fellowship with the Tree of Life once we are no longer physically present on the earth. This judgement is because of the work Satan did to the human soul, which is to blind it from the way to the Tree of Life. Satan did so  much in the soul such that many believers still retain such thoughts even after they are born again. However, some things have been worked out in us as a people; and the bars of our judgments have been raised through knowledge and understanding. This is why God can allow things that pertain to the Tree of Life to be spoken to us.

Scriptures made it clear that the Tree of Life is something that can be eaten by a people in the days of their flesh (Rev. 2:7). Eschatologists twist the understanding of the essence of the Tree of Life as something that is of the future. However, the epistles give us an accurate understanding or wisdom - that the Tree of Life is something we can partake of in the days of our flesh.

In the learning of the faith of the Son (the doctrine of Christ), God measured out healing to our souls. Without the soul partaking of the healing that comes through faith teachings, we would not be able to partake of the high healing of the leaves of the Tree of life. The healing that precedes the eating of the fruit of the Tree of Life is a high healing; it is an Edenic healing. One who has not been granted access into Eden can never understand the healing of the Tree of life. This is why we should not argue scriptures with unbelievers, because there is no basis for their understanding.

“In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Rev. 22:2). If nations need healing, it is because they have diseases. “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” (Rev. 2:7). One cannot eat of the Tree of Life without first eating of its leaves. This means that some believers in the world to come may not have been healed of some diseases in the days of their flesh. One must be healed by the leaves of the Tree before one can eat of its fruit. The Tree of Life is a high life which gives a high healing for the nations.

The phrase “for the nations” is very similar to that which was used to describe Apostle Paul’s commission (Rom. 1:5). “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Acts 26:18). The job description here spells out different allocations of healings for the soul. The blindness of the soul is a disease. Disease speaks of a state where one lacks ease - where there is no peace or firmness in a soul; and diseases are in different variations.

The creations of God in the beginning were not perfect in comparison to the Creator. Although, they were perfect in some sense, they had a lack because they did not have the actual Life of the Creator. In their own realms, they were perfect but there was still an imperfection or a lack because they did not have what the Creator had. This was an infirmity because they were not as firm as God is. For Adam to eat of the Tree of Life, he must first partake of its leaves. Adam did not have the ease or peace for that fruit, which is why he needed to eat the leaves first.

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Col. 3:1-2). Christ is meant to first raise or heal the soul. A soul that cannot ascend in the spirit has a disease; a man who finds it difficult to understand the doctrine of faith, hope, and charity (doctrines of Christ) has a spiritual disease. No one should be faulted for not initially comprehending the teachings of Christ; but it is a peculiar sickness to hear these teachings of faith, hope, and charity and fight against it.

Leaves are like eyes. Thus, in reality, leaves are instruments of sight. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil infected Adam with blindness, which was another kind of sight. The reason why Adam made a covering for himself was because of this wrong sight (Gen. 3:7). Wrong sight was the disease that entered into creation.

The fruit of the evil tree was a wrong sight and Adam began to see differently when he ate of the fruit of the tree. By seeing differently, he was being cut off from the life that God made available for him. Adam was a being of the earthly everlasting life; but the evil tree was strong enough to blind his everlasting sight.

One who will eat of the fruit of the Tree of Life will begin by being imparted with the eyes; and this impartation takes place in the Holy Place. Adam did not lose the eye of the Holy Place but the eye of the Most Holy Place of the earthly order. Adam was a high man; he was a prophet of prophets. He had living eyes; and he was meant to use those eyes until he attained the eyes of the Tree of Life.

Leaves are bitter. Anytime eyes are at work, bitterness is being ministered. Eyes are vehicles to convey the bitterness that should kill death, heal diseases, or undo infirmities. Adam was meant to be raised from possessing the living eyes that he had when he was created, into possessing the eyes of the Tree of Life (through its leaves); until he ended up eating its fruits.

The process of attaining eyes is the raising of a ministry. God had to raise Apostle Paul for the giving of the eyes of faith (Acts 26:18). Apostle Paul who bore the faith eyes had a lot of bitterness in his journey. We would also have our own share of this bitterness because anytime eyes are being ministered to us, there would be bitterness.

Books are eyes, so they are also leaves. One who is eating books is being given eyes. Eyes are stored inside books and this is why Satan fights carriers of books. The Lord is a healer (Ps. 103:1-3) and when He wants to heal true diseases (of the soul), He has to open books.

The doctrine of Christ is the doctrine of healing; the leaves of that doctrine are for the healing of all nations. God raised Apostle Paul to heal all nations; as such, when Apostle Paul shows up in a community or in a church, a healing angel has come. You cannot have true healing without words. When a man is manifesting the healing anointing, people will almost wonder if that is the peak of the healing God can show forth; but much more, God can bring healing to the soul.

It is possible for the ministry of the healing of the body to subjugate or even kill the ministry of the healing of the soul; and this is because of the work of evil spirits. The apostolic spirit holds the healing of the soul and it takes might to do so.

It will take great power to heal a man of jealousy, envy and other wrong natures. The leaves of Christ are for the healing of the eyes of our soul. What Satan stole from man were eyes; as such, when Christ is being preached, eyes are being given. Satan can touch anything without taking our attention away from what he is doing in the eyes of our soul. The state of the eyes of our soul determines our wholeness, for we are as whole as our inner eyes.

In the world to come, ranking will be based on how healed you are in your soul. Some will have been healed to the uttermost; while some who will be raised at rapture with a resurrected body will still have diseases in their souls. Such men will still have tears and sorrow; and those are the things that the Lord will begin to wipe away in the world to come. However, some men would have been healed in this present earth such that they would become agents or ministers of healing in the world to come.

Paul laboured day and night in the preaching of the word; and by so doing, he was ministering healing to souls. Satan makes men focus on the minor, such that when he finds a place where men are majoring on the healing of the eyes of their soul, he will raise tongues (men) against it who will criticise it. People who despise the preaching of Christ and God are blind because real power is measured in the giving of eyes.

The opening of eyes that took place in the garden of Eden was the blindness of man (Gen. 3:7). Satan did not inflict their bodies because he knew such would not matter. Rather, he went for what mattered — the eyes of their soul. This is why Jesus also went after the restoration of our eyes through His doctrine. It is true doctrine that restores eyes and there are three of such doctrines: Christ, the Father, and God (Col. 2:2).

When a minister of Christ is teaching, he is giving eyes; and he is confronting the things that make it difficult for people to understand and bear the fruits of the life of faith, hope and charity (1 Cor. 13:13). When eyes are fully given, the fruits of the eyes will be manifested. Fruit speaks of life but it first begins as leaves. Leaves speak of information, revelation, enlightenment or doctrine. The Holy Ghost uses everything through ministers to give eyes; and after a while, eyes begin to bear fruits.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23’ Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Gal. 5:22-23). This spirit here refers to the spirit of Christ, not the Holy Spirit; it is the spirit of life and peace (Rom. 8:6). The work of this spirit begins in the Outer Courts (life) and ends in the Holy Place (peace). It is the spirit responsible for the doctrine of Christ.

Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin taught that it is not the Holy Spirit who bears fruit,; rather, it is the human spirit of a believer that should bear these fruits. However, with increased light, we understand that it is when Christ is being manifested in the soul that fruits will begin to show forth. What should be developed by doctrine is the soul. When life is being poured into the soul, there is always strife between life and flesh in the soul; but when life is measured to the full, we would see the fruits of life.

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Rom. 8:10). As we strive to obey the Spirit, the flesh will be brought under. We are to use the doctrine of Christ until we bear fruits. We do not begin to bear the fruits of life when we start to hear the doctrine of Christ. Hearing is a stage of partaking or eating of the leaves of Christ. Every minister of Christ is a minister of leaves that possesses the laws of Christ in his belly. When we complete the course of Christ, we would be moved into grazing the pastures of everlasting life.

God wants us to eat the leaves of Christ and the leaves of everlasting life, until we can eat of the Tree of Life. Leaves are sweet in the mouth, (which refers to preaching) but they are bitter in the belly. Leaves are bitter because they ought to kill wrong things in our soul. To preach revelation is sweet; but it is bitter in the belly which is the point where the revelation is to be lived out.
