God is the Father of spirits not because He created all spirits, but because anything He fathers becomes spirit. It was by fathering that God gave birth to Jesus. To be subject to the Father of Spirits is to be subject to training. It is only God who knows how to train a man to become a spirit. God has ways. If we reject the training of God, we will not cease from being flesh (Heb. 12:7).

The purpose of the learning of the faith of the Son of God and obeying commandments is so that a new man can rise in place of the fallen old man. It is this new man who would walk in the reality of bearing the image and likeness of God who created him.

It will take the cross to deal with the formation in us that limits us from obeying this instruction. The cross comprises the wisdom and power of God – the two things that make us wise, weak and foolish. All the dealings we go through are meant to make us weaker and more foolish-looking because that is how we would be made strong and wise. It is the cross that makes us not to seek our own things, but rather, the things of others, and we ought to keep doing so until we become professionals at it.

The incorruptible seed is the seed that saves the soul (1 Peter 1:9). Without the incorruptible seed in the soul, we cannot be saved. The strength of God's salvation is the incorruptibility of salvation. This means salvation cannot be corrupted. Anyone born of the incorruptible seed has been born into salvation. In the realm of the heavens, there are angels who have the likelihood of salvation but not the texture of salvation which is a mystery that is hidden in God.

Silver and gold refer to wisdom and understanding (Pro 4:7), that is, the wisdom and understanding that it would take to build God's house are His own. Revelation is understanding. When Peter got that revelation (Matt 16:16,18) He got understanding. Jesus said, 'upon this rock I would build my church'; the rock is wisdom and understanding in the knowledge of Him. Wisdom and understanding is the rock that would be used to build the house of God.

God is not going to really dwell in a house made with hands, that is not His real dwelling. The essence of a physical place is for people to congregate so that God can build His real habitation. The habitation of God is a man. God wants to build men up. Coming to church is not futile; construction is going on as words are being preached and taught.

It is only Jesus that can communicate glory; He will do so to those whom He can call His ‘brethren’. His brethren are those whom He is not ashamed of (Heb. 2:11-12, Luke 9:26). In this season, we should be able to take shame for the sake of the name of Christ otherwise, we would be denied by Jesus (Rom. 1:16-17).

Brethren that would dwell together in unity are brethren that have learnt Christ. It is in the realm of Christ that we are taught to esteem our brothers better than ourselves (Philip. 2:3). The reason why brethren need to dwell together in unity is because of "the blessing", which is life forevermore. This blessing will only be commanded to come into the place where unity is evident.

The truth is resident in the blood. Inside the blood is a kind of life we ought to obey. Fervency of love is the key to being born of the incorruptible (1 Pet. 1:20-23). Fervent love entails obeying some specific commandments that would be given to one, which one must obey against one’s wishes and desires. Fervent charity goes beyond giving good gifts to one another; it entails the giving of commandments to alter the wrong arrangements that are within our souls so that we can begin to walk uprightly.
