Lines are lifestyles that He who has come is demanding of us. And the Person who has come is both precepts and lines. He is both knowledge and life. So He will begin by giving us precepts/revelation.

Knowledge is not just reading the Bible even though this is good, as Paul admonished Timothy (1 Tim. 4:13). Knowledge is the systematic laying of the wisdom of God that will give rise for doctrine. Knowledge is a commanded knowledge.

The reason for learning the milk, meat and strong meat of the word is because they are the foundation and the body for the eternal house. They are materials and they do not stand alone. When we learn faith in the Lord Jesus, love for all the saints, leading of the Spirit – why we get rid of all manner of dead works and begin to treat our consciences from dead works – is to begin to prepare us to lay the foundation for the eternal building in us. This building of God is supposed to be eternal; it is not that which is made with hands nor that which is temporal.

God is looking for a kind of prophets. Jane Leade described them as the most prophetic generation that God is looking for and their time is at hand. They are not prophets by being called into the office of a prophet. Some people like this and they stay there. Some men just like to reveal things about other people while they have their own things (issues). That is not the kind of prophecy being talked about. This prophecy is what is able to make a people. It is a gene.

Men should get to a point where they yield when their wives speak. This is not with the intent of having women to rule the men but submitting to her opinion with the mind of submitting one to another (Eph. 5:21).

The will of God is the book in the blood, it is God's intent for service. All servants should serve God the way God desires. Jesus used 33½ years of His life to live for the will of God, and used 3½ years of those 33½ years to do ministry. He did not do ministry for 30 years, but he did the will for 33 years. They brought ministry to Him when He was almost finishing the will. The addition of ministry did not stop the will; ministry stopped but the will finished but never ended.

Submission is not a message the husband should be preaching to his wife. Rather, he ought to earn it. One who is washed will always submit to the one who did the washing. Naturally, submission comes as an act of love. To sanctify is to set apart or consecrate. The husband ought to consecrate his wife, that is, to set her apart for special use. God wants to use the man’s home and his wife; this is why the husband must set her apart. God wants to make the husband and wife to be perfected as glory vessels.

When a person gets born again, such is sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the earnest of our inheritance. We have been called into an inheritance and the Holy Spirit is a part-payment, token, or a drop out of the inheritance. This implies that the inheritance is more than the Holy Spirit. We were given the Holy Ghost for us to know that the rest of the inheritance is on the way.

The spirit of Christ, which the name of the Son births, separates us from our goods, because the faith of the Son redefines Christ as our life. It takes time to be separated from goods, because sin ties the soul to goods. To be separated from one’s goods, there must be a change in the hope that governs the soul. When a soul is unhooked from the hope around the present life and is fed with the word and spirit that makes up Christ, Christ is formed in the soul. It can then begin to hope for something higher than earthly goods.
