Works are not things done for God to make Him happy but things that we should change into. What God loves the most is what we are to become in our souls. His will is not what we can do for him but what we can become.

The essence of the Church is to communicate the ministration of the throne to the people. It is the ministration of the throne that will lead the people to the place of living, because the things that make people live cannot be accessed without the throne.

We are being brought to the table where we can partake of divine things. We are called to partake of things that pertain to this life and the life that is to come (1 Tim. 4:8).

A man can be rescued from perishing but he can also come into everlasting life, which is a complete salvation from perishing. So John 3:16 shows us that Jesus has come to offer us everlasting life as against perishing. To perish is an everlasting occurrence or work because it would continue if it is not stopped by something else. It is only the Son of God that can stop human beings from perishing, no other person or human wisdom can do that.

A disciple is one who is saved by the law of the New Testament. Being a disciple is not about doing something for God, but doing something for yourself. A disciple must be committed to his own salvation. A disciple must be strong to save himself first before he goes to save others.

Not many believers in the church today have begun to enquire about eternal life. Our Lord Jesus journeyed so much that the men in His days began to enquire about eternal life (Lk. 10:25). We are in that season that by virtue of our walk, men will ask us about eternal life.
